What is a Dangerous Dog?
“Dangerous Dog” means:
- A dog that has killed or inflicted severe injury on a person without being provoked.
- Is determined by government or animal control officials for to have previously:
- Bitten someone severely enough to result in broken bones or disfigurement, or inflicted injury requiring cosmetic surgery or hospitalization.
- Killed or inflicted severe injury on a domestic animal.
- Approached someone in a vicious or terrorizing manner in apparent attack mode.
- A dog owned or kept for the purpose of dog fighting or any dog trained for dog fighting.
“Potentially Dangerous Dog” means:
- A dog that has been determined by government or animal control officials to have previously:
- Bitten someone severely enough to result in broken bones or disfigurement, or inflicted injury requiring cosmetic surgery or hospitalization.
- Killed or inflicted severe injury on a domestic animal
- Approached someone in a vicious or terrorizing manner in apparent attack mode.
