Temprature highs across North Carolina are reaching up into the triple digits this week. If you have lived in North Carolina during the summer months, it’s safe to say you know the temprature is only half of the story when it comes to how it feels outside. We’re talking about the heat index. The difference between it being just hot and sweltering hot.
The heat we are experiencing right now should be taken with caution. If your job requires you to work outside or you are a weekend warrior with around the house projects, please make sure you are hydrated. If, during the course of work, you feel uncomfortable, let someone know and take a few minutes to cool down inside or at least in the shade. The Internet is full of information on how to keep cool while working. Below you will find some information on working in the heat and ways to keep cool.
