Hardison & Cochran, Attorneys at Law is pleased to congratulate attorney Carter Whittington on his elevation to the position of partner at the law firm.
Mr. Whittington focuses his law practice on workers’ compensation cases and helping injured workers in North Carolina seek the medical treatment and other benefits needed to help them recover from work-related injuries and move forward.
Mr. Whittington finds helping injured people fight for the benefits available through North Carolina’s workers’ compensation system to be very fulfilling work. He says the key to being a workers’ compensation attorney is to have patience and empathy for people facing difficult situations.
A native of North Carolina, Mr. Whittington grew up in the Winston-Salem area and attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill as an undergraduate. He started working at Hardison & Cochran while a third-year law student at Campbell University’s Norman Adrian Wiggins School of Law. He graduated with honors from law school in 2016 and joined Hardison & Cochran as a full-time attorney. It didn’t take long for his legal skills to be noticed.
Carter Whittington has been recognized each year since 2021 by Best Lawyers, the oldest peer-reviewed publication in the legal profession, as “One to Watch” in the practice area of workers’ compensation – claimants. He also was listed by North Carolina Super Lawyers as a Rising Star in 2023.
